Mental health survey records, 1954-1956.

Records generated during and after a survey conducted by the Mental Health Survey Committee (appointed in August, 1954, by Governor C. Elmer Anderson) in cooperation with the Mental Health Policy Committee (created by the legislature in 1953) of the Public Welfare Department. Dr. Harlan Paine made site visits to all state institutions and prepared reports for the committee to consider. Clifford Lobel, consultant, Psychiatric Nursing Service (National League for Nursing, Inc.) also prepared a report of his findings relating to psychiatric nursing.
